STEP 2: ASSEMBLING THE DISC SANDER COMPONENTS YOU WILL NEED TO GET STARTED

Step 1

With the machine in horizontal position, start by attaching the lower guard to the quill housing. Tighten it securely using the 5/32" Allen Wrench.

Open the two halves of the guard to their widest point, then lock the guard in this position. play video

Step 2

Next, attach the steel sanding disc to the spindle and use your 5/32" Allen Wrench to tighten it securely in position. play video

Step 3

Finally, position the table carriage so the edge of your work table is no farther than 1/8" away from the sanding disc if you will NOT be using the quill to feed the disc into your workpiece.

If you WILL be using the quill to feed the disc into the workpiece, this distance should be 1/2". play video

Adjust the table height until its top surface is just above the disc centerline... and lock it into this position. play video
