Step Drill Bit

The Step Drill is the Perfect Size for Drilling the Fuse Hole and Overload Protector in Your PowerPro Gen 2 Upgrade.

The Step Drill is a perfect size for drilling the fuse hole and overload protector in either Your:

PowerPro Gen 2 Do-It-Yourself Upgrade Package
PowerPro Gen 1 to PowerPro Gen 2 Upgrade Kit

The High-Speed Steel (HSS) Step Drill is an all-in-one drill bit! Gold-Coated for durability. The Step Drill will drill holes from 1/4" to 3/4" in 1/16" increments. Each step is 1/8" tall. This Step Drill will work in wood, plastic, and all metals. The deeper you drill into material, the larger the hole.

This Step drill has a v-cut in one side. This cut provides the cutting edge and chip clearance. In this v-cut the diameter of each step is laser etched for easy identification.

How to Use the Step Drill Bit:

Mark and center punch where you want to drill the hole
Chuck the hex shank of the Step Drill in your drill chuck and secure it in place
Set your drilling speed between 500 and 1000 rpm
Several drops of oil on steel helps prevent the drill from catching in this material
Other materials are machined without oil
Note the number of steps to drill for your desired diameter
Hold the drill perpendicular to the surface you are drilling
Start the motor of the drill in the desired location and push the Step Drill into the material
Count the desired steps to the required diameter
Turn off the drill and remove the Step Drill from the hole
